Backlot Noho Secures Two Wins in the 2024 CPE Influences Awards

BKM Capital Partners and BKM Management Company have been recognized with two prestigious awards in Commercial Property Executive's 2024 Influence Awards, highlighting the firms' excellence in industrial real estate investment and repositioning. Both accolades were presented to Backlot Noho, BKM's two building, 84,388 SF light industrial park in North Hollywood, California.

BKM acquired Backlot Noho in March of 2023, tasked with creating a top notch industrial park to attract high caliber tenants and mobilize the regeneration of the North Hollywood industrial market. The extensive beautification and repositioning of this property sought to take an outdated and unadorned 2-building industrial complex built in the 1990s and transform it into a modern take on the 1920’s Art Deco movement, paying homage to North Hollywood’s rich history of cinema and aviation that dominated during that time period. This year-long project culminated in a unique and one-of-a-kind asset that boasted everything from brand new interior suites, to a completely reimagined exterior, and even two custom murals commissioned by a local LA artist.

This property secured the Gold award in the Best Repositioning/Redevelopment Plan category, reflecting BKM's expertise in transforming underutilized industrial assets into high-performing properties.

The asset also earned the Bronze award in the Best Design: Industrial category, recognizing its commitment to innovative and functional design in the industrial sector.

These latest awards reinforce BKM’s leadership in industrial real estate and its ability to create value through strategic redevelopment, thoughtful design, and hands-on management.
